How To Create Viral Meta Ads with AI (IN 5 MINUTES!)
Ready to discover how to create crazy, high-converting, viral ads in just a few minutes, all powered by AI? Whether you’re hustling with your own eCommerce brand or running campaigns for clients, I’m about to break down the exact, step-by-step process I use. We’ll dig into tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and some awesome ad libraries to help you pull off real marketing magic. Grab a cup of coffee (or maybe a healthy ginger shot, inside joke, you’ll get it soon) and let’s get right into it!
Who Am I & Why Trust This Guide?
Hey, I’m Vincent! I’ve been in the ad game since 2016. Back then, I scaled an eCommerce store from $50K to $150K a month, all with Facebook and Google Ads. Fast-forward, and I run Chipper, an agency where we help eComm brands and course creators scale to six and seven figures per month.
In this post, I’ll show you a repeatable, AI-first process for creating killer ads, no expensive designers or copywriters needed. Let’s get straight to the computer and break it down.
Table of Contents
Overview: What You'll Need
Before you start, gather these tools and assets:
ChatGPT 4.0 (or Free Version): For research and idea generation
Claude AI: For writing and ads creation (Claude shines at headlines, hooks, and creative strategies)
Your Brand Assets: Website URLs, Facebook page, Instagram, product images, and if possible, your ICP breakdown (ideal customer profile)
Canva: For quick image adjustments and tweaks
Facebook Ad Library, AdNova, or Foreplay: To get ad inspiration from the top brands
A Notion onboarding form for client/brand info (optional but recommended)
You don’t need anything fancy, just a willingness to try, tweak, and optimize.
Step 1: Extract All the Gold from Your Brand Data
This is where most people screw up—they don’t use all the info right in front of them! Here’s what you do:
Gather Your URLs and Social Links
Grab your main website URL, Facebook page, Instagram page, and any other relevant social handles.
Grab Your Product/Landing Page
This is usually your main sell page or product page. Paste that URL too.
If Available, Pull Together Client Onboarding Docs
Have anything that details your ideal customer, brand values, tone of voice, or unique selling points? Use it!
Don’t have it yet? No worries! You can create it using ChatGPT or automate it from onboarding forms if you run an agency.
Here’s an example Notion onboarding form for new clients:
“They fill out a whole onboarding sheet which is a pretty long form, and we just automate it to ChatGPT—it makes a good form out of it with all the data as well.”
Pro Tip: Automate this! The more you bake into your process, the less manual work you’ll ever do again.
Step 2: Deep-Dive Research with ChatGPT
Okay, time to put AI to work. We start with ChatGPT (or the free version if that’s what you have). Why? It’s awesome at digging deep into multiple data sources and giving you everything you need:
Demographics
Income
Pain points
Emotional hooks
Audience breakdowns
How It's Done:
Data Extraction Prompt
Copy the data extraction prompt and paste it into ChatGPT.
(If you want my exact prompt, comment below—I’ll send you a copy!)Paste Your URLs, Socials, and Any Docs
The prompt tells ChatGPT to pull every piece of relevant info:Website details
Facebook page & Instagram
Landing/product pages
Uploaded files (like Excel data, onboarding sheets, or ICP docs)
Review the Output
ChatGPT will spit out a full breakdown including:Your target audience
Main benefits
Pain points
Gaps in your funnel (like testimonials or ad data you’re missing)
Demographic details you can use for killer ads
“It creates a whole breakdown of the ideal client, the benefits, and those type of things. So you just click on it. Boom.”
Why use ChatGPT here?
It’s free (mostly)
Faster than manual research
Gives a surprisingly detailed analysis
Step 3: Supercharge Ad Creation with Claude AI
Here’s where it gets fun. While ChatGPT is a beast at research, Claude is next-level when it comes to actually writing your ads, especially headlines, hooks, copy, and visual ideas.
Why Use Claude Over ChatGPT?
"Claude is actually way better at writing hooks, visuals, headlines, etc. It’s a bit better in that aspect than ChatGPT. ChatGPT is good for image creation and ideation, those type of things."
Workflow:
Copy Over the Researched Data
Take the juicy audience/brand data you just got from ChatGPT and paste it into Claude.Prompt Claude to Take Charge
Use a setup like:Ask for What You Need
Claude will create your entire marketing strategy, including campaign ideas, hooks, and creative strategies.
Step 4: Hook, Headline, and Visual Generation
Now’s the time to get to what matters: scroll-stopping hooks, punchy headlines, and snappy visuals. Here’s how to get Claude (or ChatGPT) to crank these out:
Why Focus on Top-of-Funnel?
“A lot of people target the 3% who are ready to buy, but you still have 97% that aren’t. Your ads need to stop people in their tracks and make them care.”
Examples Straight from Claude:
Top-of-Funnel Headlines:
“Your healthy ginger shot is 60% sugar.”
“Why 90% of ginger drinks are secretly making you unhealthier.”
“The Belgian secret to replacing morning coffee across Europe.”
“Finally a ginger juice that is actually ginger.”
“What happens when you stop drinking fake health drinks?”
Generating More Variations
You can ask Claude:
Give me five more headlines for cold audiences
Write five hooks in different styles
Brainstorm five new ad ideas targeting X pain point
Step 5: Creating Scroll-Stopping Ad Images
Headlines in hand, you can now throw some killer visuals together using AI. Here’s the workflow.
Creating Facebook Ad Images with ChatGPT
Prompt ChatGPT for an Image
Give it your chosen headline, ask for a high-performing Facebook ad image.Upload a Reference Product Image
Pull your product pic right from your store or Google Drive. Upload it for inspiration.Borrow a Winning Layout from a Top Brand
Go to the Facebook Ad Library, AdNova, or Foreplay.
Find a similar type of product or niche.
Use their image layout as inspiration for your prompt.
Prompt for Specific Changes
"Make the bottle on the left, USPs and icons on the right, guarantee sticker here, use this color palette, replicate this style, etc."
Example Ad Flow
Claude/ChatGPT generates an ad image (headline, USP, icons, product, sticker).
Download the image.
Plop it into Canva for quick touch-ups.
"We upload the product image. Now what we’re going to do is go to the Facebook ad library, then look at highly converting ads... For example, we use Obvi—a brand that tests a LOT of different ads."
Step 6: Stealing Inspiration From the Best (Ethically!)
The best brands in your niche are testing dozens of creatives every week. Why not use their frameworks for your own AI-generated ads? Here's how:
Use the Facebook Ad Library
Search for Brands Similar to Yours
Type in your competitor, or a market leader, and see which ads are running.
Identify High-Performing Layouts
Look for ads with tons of engagement, or ones you see frequently (they're probably working!).
Screenshot or Save the Layout, Copy, and Structure
Focus on the layout, not the exact copy or product.
Prompt AI to Recreate or Adapt the Design
"Make me an ad in the style/layout of this image, with my headline and product image."
Example Prompt
"Just with a simple prompt, it creates a pretty damn good image."
Step 7: Rapid Ad Optimization and Final Touches
The crazy thing about AI ad building is that you can tweak a lot with just a few extra prompts.
Make On-the-Fly Changes:
Swap Background Colors:
"Use a dark green background instead of pink."Adjust Product Placement:
"Move the guarantee sticker to the right."Change or Remove Design Elements:
"Remove the cape. Make the USPs stand out more."Fix Font or Color Issues:
"Use the same font as this reference ad."
You don’t need to hire a designer—you just give AI clear prompts and edit in Canva for polish.
“With just five prompts, you basically created a marketing agency visual creator for your ads. You extract all the relevant data, makes beautiful audience insights, USPs, etc.”
Proving the Process: Live AI Ad Creation Example
Let’s recap the whole workflow with a real-world Dr. Ginger ad:
Extracted all relevant brand/audience data with ChatGPT
Had Claude generate killer hooks, headlines, and top-of-funnel ideas
Used ChatGPT to create ad images (product left, USPs right, guarantee sticker, killer headline)
Put image into Canva, adjusted font/colors, and exported
Took cues/inspiration from top-performing competitive ads found in Facebook Ad Library
Made quick-swap tweaks using even more AI prompts
End result?A totally AI-generated, high-converting, professional ad image—ready to run.
“The only thing we did was take that headline, take the image, put it in Canva, and it automatically saw what type of font it was. We optimized it, and that way you still have control.”
